If you create an account with your local country, there are differences. For example in Germany the Arcade game “Doom” from the Live Marketplace is not available (it has been “indiziert” because of the depicted violence).

Movies and TV series are only available in the US.

If you want US content, then create another account (silver is sufficient) with an US location.

Keep in mind: If you live in the UK for example, and want to buy MS Points for your US account, you must do it with a credit card (the ZIP code must match the ZIP code of your Live account).
Point cards seem to be region coded, so a UK Point card code will not work on an US account.

However, sometimes content from other countries are not available in the US (e.g. A documentary about a british music festival was only available for UK Live accounts.)

Aww man, I had this job…twice and let me tell you, I HATED it! Lol

I was lied to and told that I would be a “Customer Service Rep” for a company that provides legitimate home improvement contractors to those who seeked them. When in all actuallity, I was doing telemarketing. Basically cold-calling homeowners in hopes of collecting property and tax information (as well as personal information, like SSN and the like…which isn’t very easy to obtain) to provide them with a free estimate on a lower mortgage payment.

Soonly after I quit that job and was offered another one which was very dishonest in the training and job description. I was told that I would be an “Appointment Setter” for a matchmaking service. It was an “exclusive” service because it isn’t based online and they only accept nothing but the best. People would submit their information online and the “Appointment Setters” would contact them back to set up a time and date where they can come and meet with these marriage counselors to see if they are qualified. Sounds harmless enough, right? Well I say 95% of the people we contacted didn’t even know who we were or how we’ve gotten their information. The other 5% are the ones we were harassing because the company didn’t believe on giving up on an individual (even if they threatened us to stop calling).

You see, that’s how these companies get away with what they do. They tell potential employees that it’s not “telemarketing” because you are not actually selling a product but rather informing, gathering information or (in my last case) setting up appointments. However, soliciting anything over the phone, whether it be a product or service, by means of cold-calling or repeat calling IS telemarketing.

And I can understand your disposition because a lot of people do not want to be bothered with whatever it is you have to say. A lot of people do become rude and indignant instead of simply stating they wish to be put on the do not call list. It’s even worse when you have a quota and no one’s cooperating. My advice to you is to GET OUT…NOW. You’re obviously unhappy with this job and that will affect your performance.

The only thing I could tell you that would actually help on the job is to keep your eyes the goal (whether it be a quota or bonuses, bills that need to be paid, etc.) and call, call, call! The more people you call the more likely you’ll find people who are willing to cooperate. Dwelling on those who hang up, or just negative thoughts in general, will only slow you down and impede your job perfomance.

Most likely the maximum for playing on one is having your Blizzard account banned.

Emulators / private servers are against Blizzards TOS. If you have an active account with WoW, you’ve agreed with this the first time you logged in and the first time you logon after each patch. Your account can be banned for playing on a private server. You might want to weigh whether losing access to your characters is worth it.

Running (making) emulator / private server is actually illegal. Blizzard is one of the only game companies to win court cases against the operators of private servers. Even if you don’t have a WoW account, connecting to a private server is illegal.

The difference is night and day, and this is mainly because Thailand has really groomed itself as a real tourist destination and has poured in millions and millions of government funds for this sole cause, year after year for since I can remember.

If you go to a big team slayer playlist in the social playlist section in matchmaking you will get a 16 person match. You can do that or you can go to the DLC playlists and play bigteam DLC but you need the heroic and legendary map packs for that. For the social one i think you only need heroic, but it is free so all you would have to wait for is the download.

The only thing you would be worried about it lag because if one person has a bad connection then all people get bad laggy connections.

According to Bungie.net, the first offense is a 24 hour ban, and the second offense is 2 weeks. I think it depends on circumstances what type of ban you receive (minor offenders are banned for only 15 minutes from matchmaking). I have also heard rumors that on the third major offense that your character will be completely reset, never seen it happen though (someone posted that this was a way to reset your character after maxing their levels out).

It really depends on the game you’re playing, so elaboration would be beautiful.
But for most 360 games, they have ‘Matchmaking’ which, when you press ‘Multiplayer’ and then ‘Xbox Live’ if the game uses a matchmaking system it will bring you into a small party, in which you will see your name.
From in that party, you may invite whomever you wish, then press start, or whatever.
But if you’re talking about custom games, like in Gaylo 3, then you would go to the Xbox Live matchmaking party, and select options, game options, something along the lines of that, and from there mess with the settings, choose the map, number of players, game type.
And you may invite whomever you wish.

Diary of ‘Polish Anne Frank’ published 64 years on

A teenage Jewish girl living under the Nazis in Poland during 1943 feared she was “turning into an animal waiting to die”, according to her diary, which documents the final months before her death in the Auschwitz concentration camp.

Rutka Laskier, 14, the same age as the Dutch girl Anne Frank, wrote the 60-page diary over a four-month period in Bedzin, Poland. The diary, published by Israel’s Holocaust museum, documents the steady collapse of the ghetto under the weight of the Nazi occupation and deportations, as well as the first loves, friendships and jealousies of an adolescent girl growing up during the war.

News of the concentration camps, and the brutal killings of Jews, filtered through to her. Writing on February 5 1943, she said: “I simply can’t believe that one day I will be allowed to leave this house without the yellow star. Or even that this war will end one day. If this happens I will probably lose my mind from joy.

“The little faith I used to have has been completely shattered. If God existed, he would have certainly not permitted that human beings be thrown alive into furnaces, and the heads of little toddlers be smashed with the butt of guns or be shoved into sacks and gassed to death.”

Later she wrote: “The rope around us is getting tighter. I’m turning into an animal waiting to die.” Her final entry is brief: “I’m very bored. The entire day I’m walking around the room. I have nothing to do.”

The last entry is dated April 24 1943, at which point she hid the notebook in the basement of the house her family were living in, a building confiscated by the Nazis to be part of the Bedzin ghetto. In August that year, the teenager and her family were transported to Auschwitz and it is thought she was killed immediately.

The diary was found after the war by Stanislawa Sapinska, a Christian whose family owned the house, and who had met Rutka during the war. Ms Sapinska took the diary and kept it secret for more than 60 years until one of her nephews last year persuaded her to present it to Yad Vashem, Israel’s national Holocaust museum. “She wanted me to save the diary,” Ms Sapinska said. “She said ‘I don’t know if I will survive, but I want the diary to live, so everyone will know what happened to Jews’.”

The diary was authenticated by Yad Vashem which published it as Rutka’s Notebook in Hebrew and English. Rutka’s father, Yaakov, was the only family member to survive. He moved to Israel and had a new family. He died in 1986. His daughter in Israel, Zahava Sherz, who has written a foreword to the diary, knew nothing about Rutka before the journal surfaced. “I was struck by a deep connection to Rutka,” said Dr Sherz, 57. “I was an only child, and I suddenly have an older sister. I immediately fell in love with her.”
